Korra has truly changed my life. Beyond her life-saving alerts, she has given my the freedom to participate more fully in everyday activities-whether it's working, socializing, or simply leaving the house without fear. The bond we share is profound; she is not just a working partner, but also a loyal companion who makes each day brighter and safer. I am endlessly grateful for the training, intelligence, and devotion that make Korra an essential part of my life.

What Having a Service Dog Means to Me
Before I got my service dog, I felt invisible most days. People looked past me — or worse, they only saw my wheelchair, not me. I was shy, quiet, and used to keeping my eyes on the floor. I didn’t want to draw attention or have to ask for help again and again.
Then came Koda. The first time he nudged my hand with his nose, everything felt a little lighter. Suddenly, I wasn’t just the girl in the wheelchair — I was the girl with the golden dog who picked up her dropped pencil, carried her water bottle, and wagged his tail like I was the most important person in the world!
With Koda, people started talking to me, not about me. Kids smiled, teachers asked about him, and I found myself smiling back. He gave me independence and confidence.
He helps me reach what I can’t, but he also helps me be seen. He’s my helper, my best friend, my courage with four paws and a wagging tail.
Having Koda means I have a teammate who helps me do more, go farther, and be braver.
