Being a middle schooler is tough enough without a disability, add in severe anxiety, and medical conditions and the days seem impossible.
"Thankfully, ERWD and Applejack K9 Academy were equipped to pair Austin with his perfect service dog match, Ember"
"Once Austin and Ember bonded the real work of training began with the trainers at ERWD/AJK9"
Austin's training was individualized to his needs because our goal was for him to be the handler and eventually take Ember on the bus and to school, we knew this would be a lot for him to learn and would take time.  Everyone was so patient with him and creative in teaching to his learning style.
Ember began her task training, which included providing HR alert, deep pressure therapy and block and cover and quickly Austin began to tolerate doctor and dental visits and sensory overload scenarios much better.
Eighteen (18) months later....Austin and Ember were a fully trained and bonded pair and Ember began attending school daily with him. The amount of independence and confidence she provides him is PRICELESS!!! He is succeeding, thriving, and growing in ways that no medication can provide.

I wholeheartedly recommend the ERWD for their well-structured and challenging training sessions. The trainers stay with you every step of the way, offering guidance and support to make sure both the handlers and the canines are well equipped to manage various scenarios in everyday life.  My service dog (Rubble) has become a beacon of support, helping me handle the complexities oof my medical conditions with the tasking of cardiac alert and deep pressure therapy. Rubble has significantly improved my quality of life and the ability to complete daily tasks that once seemed unattainable. The independence gained from successfully graduating from the ERWD program has had a profoundly positive impact on both myself and my family.  I appreciate the time and dedication the ERWD has shown Rubble and myself.

After a vehicle accident, I struggled with severe anxiety, depression, PTSD, and a traumatic brain injury.  Everyday tasks like driving or being in crowded places became overwhelming.  That's when I turned to the ERWD.
They trained my service dog, Tucker, and he has completely changed my life.  When I'm driving, Tucker lays across the center console and provides deep pressure therapy to calm my anxiety.  In public, he gives me the freedom and confidence to go out again, knowing that if i start to panic, he's there to ground me.
The ERWD gave me my independence back.  I can't thank them enough for the difference they've made in my life.
